Preschool
Building a Solid Foundation for Lifelong Learning
In our safe and stimulating environment, your child can acquire all the skills they will need later in school to be confident, best prepared and ready for a lifetime of learning.
In our safe and stimulating environment, your child can acquire all the skills he or she will need later in school to be confident, best prepared and ready for a lifetime of learning.
The time in preschool is characterized by great progress of your child. They learn letters and words, numbers and quantities. They learn to use scissors and to listen. Preschoolers ask questions without pause and insist on doing everything themselves. Accompanied by our Early Years Program EYC®, preschoolers will be more than ready for their time in kindergarten – and in society.
Life as a Preschooler
When children become pre-schoolers, they have the freedom and opportunity to develop, and continue to build their independence and confidence. We know from experience that children only learn when they are interested and enjoy an activity. Then they learn through play and do not even notice that they are developing literacy and numeracy skills.
Developing Into Society
Building their social skills is a significant aspect of their time in preschool. They develop the necessary skills to interact with people in society that will stay with them throughout their lives. Our experienced educators support children’s learning individually or in small groups, through guided/free activities or the themed learning areas, enabling them to learn by connecting their knowledge to new understandings.

Well-prepared for Kindergarten and Life in Society
- Creativity & Music: Together we explore rhythms, sing in groups, learn about instruments, and create beautiful works of art thanks to increasing hand-eye coordination.
- Body & Well-Being: Learning to live a healthy, active life begins in the preschool years. Large motor activities along with small muscle strength are both necessary to build fine motor skills and a healthy body. They develop large motor skills for sports and dance and fine motor skills for writing.
- Language & Early Literature: The preschool years are critical for language, literacy, and a love of reading. Along with encouraging verbal communication in German and English, reading and writing develop through creative writing activities and a group room with labeled objects that expand their vocabulary in both languages.
- Math & Science: Using modern media to visit other places while learning. For example, we can visit an ocean through underwater webcams, and explore abstract geometric patterns in artwork.
- Social and emotional: Children build self-confidence and self-esteem by choosing play partners, forming close bonds, and taking care of their personal needs all by themselves.
- Cognitive: Developing thinking skills is a prerequisite for preschool children to find innovative solutions and persevere in solving difficult problems. Our Early Years Curriculum EYC® allows for many different subjects to be taught in a variety of styles. This allows us to be sure that each child progresses naturally and without frustration.
- Outdoor activities and Balanced Nutrition: Important parts of our Early Years Curriculum EYC®. The individual program for each child is adapted to their progress, needs, and age so that each child develops optimally.
