For Harmonious Relationships

Our Values

Caring for your child is a partnership between you and our care team. Together, your child's wellbeing is close to our hearts. Little Star Day School is the second home where your child feels welcome, respected and safe. For this reason, values are important to us in our shared daily life. At Little Star Day School, the following four values form the foundation of our community:

Respect

At Little Star Day School, we believe that the saying "Treat others as you would like to be treated" still holds true today. It's important that children learn that everyone is different and that we respect one another. Showing respect also means acting accordingly with our actions and words. This includes the golden words "Thank you", "Please" and "Sorry".

Motivation

We at Little Star Day School believe that motivation is the foundation for achieving goals. Particularly with children, motivation improves and supports cognitive processes. Our educators use children's natural motivation and curiosity in their daily practice to support them in learning new and more complex tasks.

Self-confidence

We at Little Star Day School believe that self-confidence is important for development and later life. It means being sure of oneself and one's abilities – not in an arrogant way, but in a realistic, secure manner. It doesn't mean feeling superior to others. It's a quiet inner knowledge that tells you that you are capable.

Care

We at Little Star Day School believe that caring has a positive influence on a child's mental development. Care helps strengthen relationships and build emotional bonds with others. Care gives us all a feeling of safety and security and strengthens basic trust.

These values apply to all of us!

To team members, parents and children. We adults are role models and must ensure in our daily interactions with one another that we uphold and live these values – for the children's wellbeing and for harmonious relationships.
