Zug Nursery: Bilingual Care at the Zug City Gate

A warm welcome to our little paradise for children – Little Star Day School Zug! Since 2010, children's hearts have been beating faster here, as we were the first private institution in the region to create a particularly loving concept for bilingual care. In our warm, homely rooms at the "Zuger Stadttor" and on our beautiful, protected playground, little ones experience new adventures every day. With our proven Early Years Curriculum EYC®, we support each child individually on their educational journey, whilst Swiss and international children discover, explore and learn both languages through play together.

Loving Development with System

Our Educational Approach at Zug Nursery

Since we opened as the first private institution for bilingual childcare in Zug in 2010, we have been guided by a clear vision: children should learn through play in a homely environment and develop their individual talents. Our approach is built on four fundamental pillars that together form the foundation for happy and successful development.

Holistic Development

At the "Zuger Stadttor", we promote every area of your child's development: cognitive, emotional, social and motor. Our Early Years Curriculum EYC® ensures that your child not only acquires knowledge, but also develops self-confidence, creativity and problem-solving skills – all at a pace that suits their individual needs.

Multilingualism

At our Zug nursery, children experience German and English naturally in daily life. Since our founding in 2010, we have used the proven immersion principle: each member of staff consistently speaks in their native language. This early multilingualism not only opens doors for the future, but also promotes mental flexibility and cultural understanding.

Family Partnership

We see ourselves as partners to the families whose children attend our Zug nursery. Regular communication with you as parents, joint reflection on developmental steps and coordination of educational goals are natural for us. This close collaboration creates continuity and security for your child.

International Perspective

Our location at the "Zuger Stadttor" is a meeting place for families from around the world. This cultural diversity is reflected in our daily life – from multilingual morning circles to international festivals and traditions. Your child grows up in an environment that promotes cosmopolitan thinking and optimally prepares them for an increasingly connected world.

Voices from Our Little Star Family

What parents say about our Zug nursery

5.0
Family Thompson
Seefeld, 2021

"We'd like to thank every single member of your team who looked after our son with such warmth and care. We dropped him off with you each day feeling completely at ease, and that peace of mind is absolutely priceless! Thank you for everything!"

Family Grey
Kilchberg, 2017

"Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for five wonderful years of care for both our children. It wasn't just childcare - it was affection, kindness, security and love. That meant the world to us. We're going to miss you all terribly. We are big fans of Little Star Day School."

Family Xin
Sihlcity, 2022

"It was an absolute pleasure for our family to bring our daughter and son to Little Star, and they had the most wonderful time there. When our daughter first arrived at Little Star, she was far too shy to speak to anyone. By the time she left, she was chatting away confidently with teachers in both fluent English and German. Our son started when he was just a 10-month-old baby, and when he left at age 4, he'd grown into a bright, confident little boy - completely ready for school. Many thanks for all your brilliant work!"
