Our Educational Philosophy Since 2001

Our Educational Approach at Kilchberg Nursery

Our educational approach at Kilchberg nursery is built on four strong pillars. Together, they form the foundation for your child's optimal development in a loving environment.

Bilingualism

In our nursery, each member of staff consistently speaks their native language. This way, children are immersed daily in German and English, learning both languages naturally through play. This early multilingualism promotes not only language competence but also cognitive development.

Holistic Development

With our Early Years Curriculum EYC®, we stimulate all your child's senses. In the historic setting of our Kilchberg rooms, we create an inspiring learning environment that awakens natural curiosity and promotes playful discovery – for optimal development of all abilities.

Individual Care

Our above-average staff ratios at Kilchberg nursery enable intensive support for each individual child. We take time to recognise unique talents and nurture them individually – in an atmosphere that conveys security and protection.

Diverse Additional Activities

We use our unique location with lake views for varied experiences: from swimming and yoga to music, forest days and cultural activities – all included in the care fee. This way, children discover their environment with all their senses and develop diverse interests.

Voices from Our Little Star Family

What parents say about our Kilchberg nursery

5.0
Family Thompson
Seefeld, 2021

"We'd like to thank every single member of your team who looked after our son with such warmth and care. We dropped him off with you each day feeling completely at ease, and that peace of mind is absolutely priceless! Thank you for everything!"

Family Grey
Kilchberg, 2017

"Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for five wonderful years of care for both our children. It wasn't just childcare - it was affection, kindness, security and love. That meant the world to us. We're going to miss you all terribly. We are big fans of Little Star Day School."

Family Xin
Sihlcity, 2022

"It was an absolute pleasure for our family to bring our daughter and son to Little Star, and they had the most wonderful time there. When our daughter first arrived at Little Star, she was far too shy to speak to anyone. By the time she left, she was chatting away confidently with teachers in both fluent English and German. Our son started when he was just a 10-month-old baby, and when he left at age 4, he'd grown into a bright, confident little boy - completely ready for school. Many thanks for all your brilliant work!"
